Can anyone see the difference between how intense this looks from the video screen shot (the 1st photo posted) and this still photo?? It's a great example of how intense eyes&brows with a natural face come up in photos... Perfection.... What does everyone else think of her makeup? haha poor girl got married and all I care about is her makeup haha... Obsessed much! Have a beautiful day!

This gorgeous new mummy had her makeup done professionally for her baby/family photoshoot.  I think it's such a good idea, sleepless nights and limited time mean that makeup or any sort of beauty routine is non-existent sometimes.  So I'm hoping that this beautiful natural bronze makeup helped make her feel extra special.

I have been trialling a product called 'Burt's Bees Soap Bark & Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream....  after seeing some amazing reviews on it on YouTube.  I have to say I am in LOVE!!  This product has amazing ingredients, that you can seriously feel working, you can feel the methol tingling and cleaning and you can feel the chamoile soothing.  Now my skin is definitely not amazing at all and i've been waiting for it to break me out (like what usually happens when I test a new product)... But after about 3 weeks of use I so totally happy with it.  It gets the makeup off without striping the skin - don't ask me how.

So I got this at Harrisons Pharmacy @ Noosa Civic, but seen it the other day that you can purchase it for like $10 in a set at Priceline Pharmacy in Tewantin QLD.   I have also been trialling the Burts Bees Radiance Night Cream with Royal Jelly but I think that is a whole other post in itself ....  Enjoy and I hope this little find works wonders for your skin too and to top it off it's 98.8% Natural Ingredients!! 

Soap Bark and Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream

A cleanser that's all bark and no bite.

How it Works

Looking for a deeper clean? This rich, sulfate-free facial cleanser is made with a gentle, yet effective plant-based cleansing complex featuring quillaja saponaria (soap) bark extract and witch hazel. Luxurious lather foams away excess dirt, oil and make-up leaving skin feelling clean and refreshed. Extracts of chamomile, echinacea and aloe help soothe and calm skin while glycerin and cocoa butter provide a touch of moisture for naturally fresh, healthy skin.

How to Use It

Wet face and apply cleanser with fingertips or wash cloth. Massage gently avoiding eyes. Rinse thoroughly. For best results, follow with your favourite Burt's Bees Moisturiser.

To all my brides, here is a great tool I use to keep myself organised and manage my time between the zillion computer tasks I have to get done.  This times how long I have spent on a task and makes it easy to shift back to a task after you have been distracted i.e. had to answer an urgent email or phone call.

P.S I did her makeup at 8am in the morning and the photoshoot was at 3pm! I think that's pretty good staying power!!!

It's been since March 2011 (the start of Autumn wedding season) that I have posted.  Now that March, April & May wedding season is over you'd think I'd have a moment, but no a big wedding last weekend, a massive wedding this weekend with a trial to follow and heaps of bookings to organise and file and only 1 wedding-less weekend for Winter!  

I have met so many beautiful brides this season and it has been a pleasure to do each and every one of them.  You may notice I have updated my blog which was looking a bit lonely, with an update of the happenings from the last few months which I had posted to my Facebook page.  For more up-to-date happenings in the world of Makeup By Jana, 'like' my page!  
I am really excited to see that I have been not just nominated for the ABIA award this year I was actually a finalist and maintain a ranking of Top 18 makeup artists in QLD!  Out of 270 that is :)  ABIA also contacted me and said I was the TOP2 makeup artists in QLD to be nominated as the STAR supplier for their wedding.  i.e. meaning I was rated as their favourite wedding service provider out of their whole wedding!!  I'm pretty proud of that and so glad that my brides are happy :)

Anyway enjoy the start to Winter! I am enjoying getting all rugged up and cosy.
